TAO/Molly Blank Groundbreaking, A note from Managing Director, Micah Fortson
Posted on Feb 9th, 2026
Hello, new neighbors!

After years of conversations, community meetings, planning, fundraising, challenges, and triumphs, we’re excited to announce that we are breaking ground on the Molly Blank Center for Opera and the Arts! This is a momentous time where we cross the threshold from dream to reality and mark a new era for classical arts in Atlanta. I would like to personally extend my warmest appreciation for the overwhelming support we have received from neighborhood residents. We hope that you will consider yourselves a part of our Atlanta Opera family.

The site (and parking) will be closed for construction starting February 14, 2026, and is expected to reopen to the community in the Fall of 2027. For more information and our updated FAQ, please visit our website.

HEADLINE: APS Redistricting Presentation & Survey Underway - Residents are strongly encouraged to tune in to the current draft plans and complete the survey.

All PBA neighbors should be interested in the APS Comprehensive Long Range Facilities Plan. This plan was first released on August 22nd, and is set to be presented to the Board of Education in November and voted on in December. All scenarios are currently in draft form and can be changed based on community feedback. Regardless of whether you have school-aged children or children in APS these changes will affect your property value. When completing the survey, note that you are “Rivers ES” / “Sutton MS” / “North Atlanta HS”.
