Traffic Chair Kirk Rankin will provide updates regarding our neighborhood traffic study which we completed this year. There will be volunteers needed as we progress with the City to get our list of priorities implemented, please consider joining the traffic committee.
PBA Membership:
The PBA Membership Committee, led by Kate Allgood, will update us on the state of 2021 membership and talk about the plans for 2022. Membership is at an all-time high. Thanks goes out to the membership committee as well as all of our block captains around PBA.
PBA Parks:
PBA Parks is being revamped and we are looking for volunteers! Incoming PBA President Susan Clark and Parks Chair Marc Schneidau will discuss future plans for the committee and the need for new parks committee members.
Election of Directors:
Board members are elected for terms of three years and can serve two successive terms in addition to any partial term to which a board member is elected. The board is divided into three classes, one of whose term expires each year.
You have authorized a board of 24 members. Recently your board voted to appoint Carson McElheney as a board member and parks leader. Tragically, Carson passed away this September, and we continue to mourn his loss and we seek neighbors to help us as we try to revitalize the parks committee. A tireless advocate for the neighborhood, Elizabeth Hale is completing her final term tonight. We thank Elizabeth for her leadership and service in the parks committee, and we know she will continue to help us in this area. Accordingly, there are 2 vacancies on the board:
2 new first terms ending at the Annual Meeting of 2024:
For the other (1) term ending at the 2024 Annual Meeting, the board proposes that membership elect:
Dana Hudson, Montview Lower 2
Dana Hudson, her husband Will, and two children have been proud members of the PBA since 2013. Dana works at Home Depot, serving as Merchandising VP for Kitchen and Bath. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a Chemical Engineering degree and also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Her passions include fitness, cooking and standard poodles.
Returning Board Members:
The following members’ first terms expire at this 2021 annual meeting. The board proposes that membership re-elect these members for a second term, ending at the 2024 annual meeting:
- Lisa Britt, serves as PBA Secretary
- Susan Clark, as of tonight will be PBA President
- John Ferguson, serves on the PBA Traffic and Membership Committees
- Juan Johnson, serves on PBA Traffic and Zoning Committees
Join us for this exciting meeting neighbors!
