GA House Bill 1166 - Housing/Zoning Summary

Georgia House Bill 1166 (HB 1166) is a recent housing/zoning bill (2025–2026 legislative session) focused on allowing small “tiny homes” or accessory dwelling units (ADUs) across the state.

HB 1166 would limit local governments’ ability to block very small residential units (400 sq ft or less).

As we enter the final weeks of the 2026 Peachtree Battle Alliance Membership Drive, we want to sincerely thank those of you who consistently renew your support of PBA. Your commitment sustains not only the visible services we provide, but the very existence of the Alliance itself.
 
Many neighbors benefit from the safety, stewardship, and advocacy PBA provides, yet a significant number of households have never formally joined. This is a warm invitation to be part of the support system that sustains our historic neighborhood.

Trees Atlanta embarks on a 5-year project to restore the forest in Sam T. Roberts Memorial Park

Crews are scheduled to begin work on Monday, February 23, 2026. The initial phase will focus on tree and shrub removal in Zone 1 of the Sam T. Roberts Memorial area, along the creek side of the path. All debris will be staged and removed promptly.
