Amy Githens, Woodward Way (near Dellwood)
My husband Jeff, and our son John moved to Haynes Manor a year ago after living in Morningside for many years. I am very active with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where I serve on the Foundation Board, and Lovett, where my son is in the 6th grade.
Most recently, I worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 15 years in philanthropy for their foundation.
Suzanne Jones, Brookdale
Born in NY, raised in NC, and an Atlantan for 18 years, I’ve lived in Buckhead since relocating here. We moved to the Peachtree Battle neighborhood a year ago, having formerly resided in Peachtree Hills and Wildwood. I attended Duke University for undergrad and Kenan-Flagler Business School (UNC-CH) for my MBA. Following a career as a management consultant and marketing strategist, I have been active raising our three children and volunteering at their various schools. Volunteer roles have included serving in varying capacities at the Atlanta Speech School, where I spent a number of years on the Guild Board of Directors, Gala Committee, and Stepping Stones Parent Council. I have also been involved with the Morris Brandon PTA, Lovett LPA, Northside Friends (CHOA), and Peachtree Presbyterian Preschool Parent Council.
Nory LeBrun, One Peachtree Battle
A native Atlantan, raised in Buckhead (W. Wesley Rd.). Together with my Life-Partner, Susan Grant, we have lived at One Peachtree Battle since 1991. Post an education in Parochial (Christ the King) and Atlanta Public School (Northside High) systems, I attended the University of Florida. A career in the Broadcast Television, Cable and Broadband industry’s ensued. Broadcast station, ad sales and management became the focus in Palm Beach and Atlanta---ownership of 2 Network Affiliates in Mississippi/Alabama were also part of the Broadcast chapter. The Cable/Broadband chapter, included Division management at Turner Broadcasting, WTBS/CNN/HN, EVP/Food Network, and EVP/Home Shopping (all program distribution divisions). The current business chapter is “TwoBlueRhino”, a Media Management consultancy, with the CW Network, InterMedia Partners, Sportsman/Outdoor Channels, GMC/UP-Aspire, as previous or current Clients.
For Profit Board participation included Home Shopping, and Sportsman Channel; Non-Profit, Zoo Atlanta, Historic Toxaway Foundation (Lake Toxaway, NC). Representing the Historic Toxaway Foundation, I am serving on the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce Board. Representing HTF, I am involved with Transylvania County government, at the County Manager/Commissioner’s level, as well as all Department heads, focusing on the service needs (health, work-force housing, education, transportation, water/water-treatment, Conservation Easements, etc.), and economic future of Upper Transylvania County.
Currently I serve as a Block Captain for the Peachtree Battle Alliance.
