UPDATE: Our Beltline Connection

Within the next three months, just as the Northside Drive project winds down, PATH will begin construction of the Woodward Way trail which will ultimately connect our neighborhood to the Beltline. This section of trail will be part of the trail that will encircle the golf course.
Our neighborhood has been very engaged with the PATH Foundation during the planning process and PATH has participated in three neighborhood meetings to get feedback and input on the plan for the trail. Construction of anything this large will always have impacts, in this case trees will have to be removed and replaced and the Woodward Way roadway will have to be narrowed. But at the last public meeting in July at which PATH offered alternatives to the neighborhood for discussion and consideration, the attendees overwhelmingly approved (ninety plus percent) one of the alternatives, which was the original plan by PATH (option A). The Alliance Parks Committee will continue to work with the City and PATH on the multi-use trail to represent our neighborhood’s interests and do everything we can to make our connection to the Beltline a great asset for our residents.
