Dear Neighbors,

 

This year has been one for the books.

 

There has been so much suffering and change, but hope has been everywhere! The kindness you have shown this year, such as donating to our patrol officers for a mid-year bonus; delivering food, cards and treats to our police precinct; helping out neighbors who had trees hit their homes during the storms; checking on our elderly neighbors ... the list is long.

 

Most recently, Brookdale Drive experienced some of the car-related crimes we have all (unfortunately) become too familiar with these days. But please take a moment and drive down Brookdale after dark and see the lights! These neighbors have worked together to create a special treat for those visiting their street, and I see it as a beautiful response to the ugliness of the criminal activity. Our patrol has been extra focused on Brookdale too, and we appreciate their response as well. Please continue to tell our patrol what is happening so they can be aware and do the best job for us! Our membership drive is off to the best start I have ever seen, thanks to the hard work of Kate Allgood and her team. Already, over 33% of the neighborhood has joined for 2021. Thank you! The dues have increased, and we invite you to take a look at the information from our annual meeting last month to understand why and to see our goals for the coming year. Please renew now, we need your support!

 

The membership team hosted a meet and greet by setting up a table outside of the old clubhouse a couple of weekends ago, to welcome people to join PBA and ask questions. It was well attended and really nice to hear from those of you who stopped by to chat and have a cup of coffee. With the help of one of our green thumbs, Harriet Kirkpatrick, the membership committee has reinstated our welcome gifts for new neighbors. Take a look at what they are delivering to our newest families:
