Sam T. Roberts Park - Invasive Species Removal Volunteer Sessions
Posted on Feb 14th, 2025

Headline:  Trees Atlanta & PBA Invasive Species, Native Planting work sessions at Sam T. Roberts Park Starting March 1, 2025

Trees Atlanta will host three volunteer projects at Sam T. Roberts Memorial Park (formerly Haynes Manor Park) at the corners of Peachtree Battle @ Northside Drive, along the connecting footpath to Sagamore Drive @ Northside Drive—the mission to restore and conserve the forested areas by removing invasive species and planting native.

Volunteers will gather for the first work session on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.  The remaining THREE sessions will occur after May (details to follow). Walk to the park or park in the Ahavath Achim Synagogue parking lot off Northside Drive.

The map reflects the park's "zones." The city would like us to start in zone 1 and then move into zones 2 and 3. Zone 5 is somewhat steep and will likely not be accessed by specific Trees Atlanta volunteers.

We hope to see you there!
