FUSUS: A New Collaborative Public Safety Tool
Posted on Jan 26th, 2022

Greetings all,
I'm happy to share, as it relates to enhancing public safety in our neighborhoods, and our city, that the Atlanta Police Department now has a platform called Fusus, that allows for the registering and sharing of your at-home camera footage of incidents, regardless of brand, with APD.
The registry allows officers and investigators to send an email to registered users when an incident occurs. This will, over time, eliminate the need to canvas neighborhoods in asking if anyone has video to share of an incident. To learn more or register with the Fusus platform, please visit https://connectatlanta.org/
An example of how this works:
A crime occurs at 123 ABC Street. We have a description of a black sedan that was the getaway vehicle. The assigned APD investigator can send a request to every registered camera in the area of the crime by clicking a button in Fusus. They would request that any registered user send video to them if they see a black sedan during the requested time frame. Our off-duty APD Officers who patrol the neighborhood will also have the ability to access the Fusus platform. In addition to residential home cameras, businesses can also integrate their cameras into Fusus.
Please take a moment to learn more about the program, register your camera and share this link with your PBA neighbors.
