Description of the Incident:
Sergeant Paul Bryant while working off-duty neighborhood patrol for the Peachtree Battle Alliance, was notified by a neighborhood resident after they called 911, in reference to a suspicious adult male who was on foot in the area of Dellwood Dr. and Red Valley Rd.
Sergeant Bryant quickly located the male, with Zone 2 Officers also then arriving to Sgt. Bryant's location. The subject was acting strangely, not from the area, and appeared to be homeless.
Sgt. Bryant's investigation revealed that the subject had active arrest warrants from Gwinnett County for probation violation related to his prior arrest for Burglary and Aggravated Assault.
The suspect was then taken to the Fulton County jail.
We commend the resident for calling 911 and then the security patrol.
Good job Sgt. Bryant for his solid work in taking a subject off the streets of Peachtree Battle, with active arrest warrants and a prior arrest for Burglary and Aggravated Assault.
All of your APD neighborhood patrol Officers continue to remain vigilant, and work off duty during this difficult year, in providing for our families, and serving our supportive neighborhood members.
Thank you,
Captain Jeff Baxter
