From APD Regarding Non Emergency Reporting
Posted on Apr 14th, 2020
Did you know that you can file a “non-emergency” police report online? Our online reporting system can be accessed by going to the APD website and clicking on the “I Want To…” tab at the top of the page, and then scrolling to the “Report a Crime” tab which will open to this page (https://www.atlantapd.org/i-want-to/report-a-crime). Once you get to the “Report a Crime” page, you will need to scroll down to the link that says “Click here to start an online report”. Once the online report page opens, please be sure to read through each of the options and fill in all of the requested information. Once you have completed the report, be sure to click “submit”. The “non-emergency” reporting option has always been available to the community but during these unprecedented times with the Coronavirus pandemic, APD wants to remind everyone that if you have a “non-emergency” crime to report, such as any of these: custody order violations, damage to property, fraudulent use of credit card, identity theft or harassing communication, the online reporting system is the preferred filing option. When in doubt, it is OK to call 9-1-1 and let the operator direct your call. Should you need additional help while filing your online report, please use the “Contact Us” directory for key telephone numbers. Together we can do extraordinary things and keep our officers and the City of Atlanta safer as we navigate this health emergency together.
