Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods
THE BUCKHEAD COUNCIL OF NEIGHBORHOODS, INC.
The Peachtree Battle Alliance has joined The Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods, Inc., (BCN), a non-profit corporation established
to focus on “improving, protecting, and enhancing the quality of life and services in the Buckhead neighborhoods and
community, while serving a the unified representative and watchdog for Buckhead homeowners”.
The BCN is made
up of representatives from most of the organized neighborhoods in Buckhead and provides a forum for sharing concerns, solving
problems and identifying areas of mutual interest. The Council has no formal governmental responsibilities and does
not replace the NPU structure. Elizabeth Pritchard represents the PBA on the Council. Sherry Cohen, James Worrell,
Roxanne Smith, and Marsh King all agreed to be PBA alternates to the BCN.
Since its first official meeting in October,
the BCN has approved two petitions pertaining to traffic problems in Buckhead. These petitions were approved for signature
by the PBA Board at their meeting on November 18th. The petition for the removal of the reversible lane on Northside
Drive was sponsored by the PBA. The other petition is for the completion of the connections between I-85 and GA. 400.
