E. Rivers Elementary School News

A field house - designed by Atlanta architect and Buckhead resident Keith Summerour - is under construction alongside the field space. It is designed to provide sports equipment storage and bath facilities for students and authorized users. Take a walk down to the field to see the building. It is a work in progress. Completion of the structure is set for early March 2010. Once that is complete, the school's administration and parent support group will turn their attention to the facelift and improvements set to begin on the main E. Rivers building this summer.

Please be aware theft of front door delivered packages is still occurring. Requiring a signature upon delivery, providing an alternative secure delivery address such as an office location, or working with UPS and Fedex delivery men to tuck packages away in alternate drop-off spots at your residence can limit problems. One PBA neighbomakes a common sense tip for writing notes to your delivery men. Use notepad paper the color of your front door when making special package requests so your message is not easily visible from the street.
